Frustration for Massa in Santiago: "This can't happen again"

Felipe Massa's race in the sweltering heat of Santiago was all going well until a rough pass from his Rokit Venturi Racing teammate Edoardo Mortara derailed the Brazilian driver's momentum. We caught up with the Venturi driver below.

Massa was on good form around the Parque O'Higgins circuit, converting a spot in Super Pole to take fourth on the grid for the race. The Brazilian was battling for a spot on the podium with the front five until his teammate Edoardo Mortara forced the Brazilian wide, with little room between the wall and a his teammate's car, costing the Brazilian a further two places in the process.

The move from Mortara derailed the Brazilian's race, with Massa overshooting a pass on Mercedes-Benz EQ rookie Nyck de Vries into the first turn. Ultimately finishing in ninth position, Massa's end to a frantic race day was far from the result he expected considering his early race pace.

"Sadly, I didn't have a good start. I lost two positions. Otherwise, the pace was good, but there was a team problem," he said, hinting at the incident with Mortara.

"It was a race where I should have easily finished in the first five," he added, clearly frustrated.

Massa will get another shot at his first podium finish this season on February 15 when the ABB FIA Formula E Championship arrives in the Mexican capital for the CBMM Niobium Mexico City E-Prix. Tune in to catch all the action live.
